The Planning process commences 6-8 months prior to the season. Reviewed monthly and replanned each month by the buying team.

  • Plan markdowns by category by month
  • First margin by category by month
  • Plan purchases by category by month
  • Closing inventory by category by month
  • Days/Weeks forward cover of inventory by category
  • Stock turn
  • Future order commitments by category by month

Reviewed each month by buying team.

Analysis against Plan and LY across all KPI’s by independent (Ken Tickle) eyes who plays the role of a devils advocate.

Proactive action then taken on each KPI as required.
